Private Royal Estate - Amman, Jordan

(The Client will arrange the work visa and relocation if not local)

The Groundsman Gardener will be responsible for the routine maintenance, care, and presentation of the extensive landscaped grounds within a prestigious private estate. This includes maintaining formal gardens around the main residences, ensuring the upkeep of outer buildings and surrounding yards, and contributing to the overall beauty and functionality of the property. The role offers variety and requires a strong balance of horticultural knowledge, physical capability, and practical gardening skills.

• Horticulture degree or certification highly regarded
• Greenhouse horticulture experience highly valued
• Minimum 4 years' experience in resort, 5-star hotel grounds, or private estate environments
• Fluent English and Hindi essential
• Physically strong and fit

• Plant Knowledge:
  Proficient in identifying plant species, understanding their care requirements, and applying correct horticultural techniques to ensure optimal growth and health.

  Ability to plan, design, and maintain visually appealing landscapes, including soil preparation, planting, pruning, mulching, and irrigation system use.
• Problem Solving:
  Skilled in diagnosing and treating plant diseases, pests, and environmental challenges while adapting plans to seasonal or client needs.
• Attention to Detail:
  Highly attentive to presentation standards, including precise weeding, trimming, mowing, edging, and garden bed maintenance.
• Physical Stamina:
  Capable of performing demanding outdoor work for extended periods, including lifting, machinery operation, and work in various weather conditions.
• Communication:
  Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, discuss plans, and provide recommendations or updates as required.
• Equipment Use:
  Knowledgeable in the safe handling, maintenance, and storage of gardening tools and machinery.

• Perform routine grounds and garden maintenance to a consistently high standard
• Maintain lawns, garden beds, hedges, trees, and landscaped areas around residences
• Support the upkeep of outer buildings, pathways, and estate surrounds
• Operate and maintain irrigation systems, gardening tools, and machinery
• Assist with greenhouse planting and maintenance where required
• Monitor plant health and apply appropriate treatments for pests or diseases
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness across all outdoor spaces
• Work collaboratively within the estate team to achieve presentation and operational goals

• USD $500 per month (Tax Payable)
• Shared accommodation provided
• Meals provided
• Health insurance included
• Return flight home every 2 years
• 30 days annual leave
• 24-month renewable contract
• Work visa arranged by the client
