Job Purpose

The Quality Assurance and Inline Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring that all milk powder repackaging operations at Majan Food Industries are conducted in full compliance with approved product specifications, food safety standards, and quality management systems. The role supports the consistent production of safe, legal, and high-quality products in accordance with HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO standards, and Dubai Municipality regulations.

of Work

The scope of this position covers all Quality Assurance and Inline Quality Control activities at Majan Food Industries with specific focus on:

  • Milk powder receiving, handling, repackaging, and storage operations
  • Packaging material control and labeling compliance
  • Hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices across the facility
Key Responsibilities

Production & Process Control

  • Monitor daily repackaging and packaging operations to ensure strict adherence to approved specifications, HACCP plans, food safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Perform in-process quality checks to identify deviations in weight, packaging integrity, labeling, and product condition, and initiate immediate corrective actions.

Documentation & Record Keeping

  • Accurately complete, maintain, and update all quality-related records, including:
  • Quality Inspection and Inline Check Records
  • Cleaning and Sanitation Records
  • Personal Hygiene and GMP Monitoring Records
  • CCP/OPRP monitoring logs
  • Ensure documentation complies with FSSC 22000, ISO, and Dubai Municipality requirements.

Sampling & Testing

  • Collect samples of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products for internal or external laboratory testing as per approved sampling plans.
  • Ensure proper identification, handling, and traceability of samples.

Hygiene, Sanitation & GMP Compliance

  • Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness and hygienic conditions of equipment, tools, production areas, and personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), personal hygiene standards, and sanitation procedures.

Material Acceptance & Control

  • Inspect and assess incoming raw materials and packaging materials against approved specifications.
  • Approve or reject materials and finished products based on compliance, ensuring proper segregation and identification of non-conforming items.

Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

  • Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials or products.
  • Support investigations, corrective actions, and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure all staff comply with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety requirements at all times.
  • Support compliance with HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO standards, and Dubai Municipality regulations, including audit readiness.

Reporting & Communication

  • Communicate quality findings, deviations, and improvement opportunities clearly to the Production, Quality Assurance, and Management teams.
  • Escalate critical food safety or quality issues promptly.

Facility Cleanliness & Safety

  • Monitor cleanliness of production areas, common areas, and external facility surroundings.
  • Report and follow up on sanitation, pest control, or safety issues with relevant departments.

Management Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager or Top Management.
  • Actively support continuous improvement initiatives, food safety culture, and operational excellence.
