Job Summary:

The incumbent, in the position of Quality Supervisor, is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest standards of product quality within GMG's Farm Fresh division in order to meet specified standards and customer expectations. The role involves implementing quality protocols, overseeing audits, and maintaining compliance with industry and regulatory standards to uphold GMG’s commitment to excellence in product safety and customer satisfaction.

The Quality Supervisor also works closely with production and other departments to implement corrective actions, track quality metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality standards.

Job Description:
  • Supervise and manage the quality control team to ensure that products meet company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and standards, ensuring adherence across all production stages.
  • Conduct quality audits, review production batches for compliance, and identify areas for improvement in the QA process.
  • Develop corrective action plans, oversee the implementation of preventive measures, and provide training to staff on QA standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on reducing waste, enhancing product quality, and increasing operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate regularly with cross‑functional teams to ensure any quality issues are effectively communicated and resolved.
  • Maintain comprehensive QA documentation, assist with internal and external audits, and leverage SAP ERP for quality data recording.
  • Stay updated with evolving regulatory requirements, ensuring GMG's practices align with local and international standards, and participate actively in projects for continuous process improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Train, mentor, and support quality control staff in quality procedures, safety standards, and best practices to enhance team performance and knowledge.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to address quality issues and ensure smooth workflow and compliance with quality standards.
  • Supervise inbound and outbound operations in warehouse operation (quality parameters of products) including product temperature and vehicle integrity.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to local and international compliance during container loading and unloading.
  • Ensure on‑time product registration for all products (frozen, chilled, ambient) with local authority.
  • Closely monitor key operations like stock keeping, maintaining FIFO, FEFO, and packing.
  • Coordinate with factory quality teams in terms of process adherence and compliance.
Functional / Technical

Competencies:
  • Strong expertise in quality assurance protocols, with proficiency in regulatory compliance standards.
  • Skilled in conducting detailed quality audits, identifying potential risks, and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Data entry proficiency, particularly within SAP ERP systems, and the ability to prepare and maintain quality documentation accurately.
  • Possess strong analytical skills to interpret data for quality trends and improvements, coupled with effective communication abilities to support training and collaboration across teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and quality compliance knowledge are required for this role.
  • Strong knowledge in lean manufacturing tools (5S, Six Sigma, KAIZEN).
