Quality Specialist & Business Intelligence

Overview

The MENA Grocery team UFG is offering a role to own building new business from ground zero. Quality of Meat, Seafood, Produce and Perishable is a critical objective for Amazon Ultra-Fast-Grocery UFG business and one of the key differentiators for Amazon UFG customers. The Category Quality team is responsible for ensuring that we consistently meet and exceed the Amazon quality bar for Meat, Seafood, Produce and Perishable on a daily basis.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in written and oral communication, with the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive).
• Experience with MS Office Professional Suite and excellent working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Certified HACCP PIC 3 Person In Charge by Dubai Municipality.
• ISO
  22000 and GMP certification.
• Food safety knowledge of fruit and vegetable quality specifications; familiar with Dubai F&V Market and Al Aweer Central Fruit Market.

• Review the quality of Meat, Seafood, Fruits, Vegetables, Eggs and other perishable items during inbound operations at Amazon stores, hubs and vendor sites.
• Reject damaged or defective items back to the vendor and record the details (item, vendor, quantity).
• Audit quality during picking and packing processes performed by LPC associates.
• Monitor packaging standards during packing.
• Perform daily bin audits and share weekly reports with stakeholders.
• Train store and hub associates on quality SOPs and packaging.
• Work over weekends as needed but not exceed a 40‑hour work week.
