The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all landscaping, irrigation, and construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, maintaining quality documentation, supporting audits, managing non-conformance reports, and coordinating with project teams to ensure compliance with quality management systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct inspections to determine if work has been performed in accordance with contract specifications, including installation of irrigation, soft landscaping, and hard landscaping.
- Take daily project photographs and file them.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical literature.
- Assist the quality department in achieving its goals and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
- Work closely with production engineers and other departments to help close CAPAs in a timely manner, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and submit reports to the quality manager and quality in charge.
- Maintain and update quality inspector records.
- Perform daily inspections and tests necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract, both on and off site.
- Carry out inspections and checks for all quality‑related procedures on site, ensuring that activity follows approved method statements and inspection test plans.
- Coordinate with the consultant’s representative and department in‑charge for inspections and meetings concerning quality problems, including closure of non‑compliance reports.
- Report to the QA/QC documents of the entire project, including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non‑compliance reports, site instruction/observations, permanent material deliveries, and other QA/QC documents; manage closure of non‑conformance, NCR, and SOR.
- Develop method statements for activities, including risk assessment, job safety and environmental analysis, inspection test plans, and checklists based on project specifications.
- Actively participate in ISO internal and external audits.
- Serve as a team player by accepting additional responsibilities to cover for colleagues while they are away.
- Minimum 3‑5 years of work experience in process quality and improvement in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality standards, preferably ISO standards.
- Knowledge of internal auditing.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Associate).
