Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Retail Leasing Specialist to join Cushman & Wakefield Core’s team.

The role is focused on supporting the Retail Leasing team in all administrative, documentation, and coordination functions across a diverse retail portfolio. With a strong background in lease management, documentation control, and stakeholder communication, this role ensures smooth end-to-end leasing operations while maintaining accurate data integrity and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lease Administration & Compliance
    • Prepare, review, and process all retail lease agreements, renewals, amendments, and terminations while ensuring full compliance with contractual and RERA guidelines.
    • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date lease management system — capturing key terms, rent details, expiry dates, and obligations.
    • Ensure consistency between lease documents, internal trackers, and financial systems; proactively flag discrepancies for resolution.
    • Manage the digital and physical filing of lease records, ensuring full audit readiness and traceability.
    • Coordinate with Finance to validate and process rent, service charge, and landlord-related invoices in line with payment schedules and resolve tenant billing inquiries and disputes.
    • Maintain clear visibility of upcoming renewals, rent reviews, and lease expirations to ensure timely renewals or renegotiations in the property management accounting system.
    • Prepare and issue monthly tenant rent statements and annual CAM/operating expense reconciliations.
    • Support the preparation of leasing financial reports, forecasts, and annual budgeting for rental income and occupancy costs.
  • Communication & Coordination
    • Act as the central point of contact between the Retail Leasing team, landlords, tenants, and internal departments.
    • Prepare and issue correspondence, NOCs, and official communications to landlords and government entities.
    • Respond to complex enquiries from tenants and internal stakeholders regarding lease interpretation and obligations.
  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Prepare periodic reports and dashboards detailing leasing activity, occupancy, and revenue performance.
    • Highlight upcoming lease renewals, expiries, and potential risks to the Leasing Manager and senior management.
    • Support with market and rent benchmarking exercises to ensure competitive positioning.
    • Maintain central leasing databases for all active and upcoming projects.
    • Support new lease acquisitions and assist in negotiations by preparing comparison sheets, rent summaries, and approval memos.
    • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across property management systems (Yardi, Excel trackers, or similar).
    • Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the leasing team, including scheduling meetings, organising documentation, and tracking deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in leasing administration, property coordination, or retail real estate roles (UAE market preferred).
  • Proven background in lease documentation, financial reconciliation, and stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and property management systems such as Yardi or MRI.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Team-orientated mindset with the ability to work cross-functional.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Integrity, accountability, and commitment to quality service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to various audiences.
