Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Business Development Manager Job Description
WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced and dynamic Archaeology and Cultural Heritage Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our heritage services across the region. This strategic role will focus on business development, sector expansion, client engagement, and supporting the successful delivery of heritage projects.
We are looking for someone with a strong track record in the Middle East heritage sector, who combines commercial acumen with technical understanding, and is passionate about growing and diversifying our heritage offering.
Responsibilities- Lead business development initiatives for archaeological and cultural heritage services across the Middle East.
- Identify, target, and secure new opportunities across government entities, tourism authorities, cultural organizations, developers and infrastructure clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and act as a key ambassador for WSP’s heritage team.
- Expand and diversify WSP’s heritage offering across regional markets, including archaeology, conservation, heritage master planning and cultural development.
- Produce or contribute to archaeological assessments and written heritage deliverables.
- Undertake liaison with stakeholders, curators, regulatory bodies and clients to support project approvals and delivery.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including environment, planning, sustainability and urban development.
- Actively promote integrated heritage services across WSP internal teams.
- Support high-quality project delivery and ensure alignment with WSP technical, safety and commercial standards.
- Proven experience in archaeology and heritage-focused business development within the Middle East.
- Strong commercial awareness and a successful track record of securing work in the ME heritage or cultural landscape sectors.
- Experience managing archaeological or heritage projects, including fieldwork management, financial oversight and team coordination.
- Robust knowledge of archaeology and cultural heritage across the ME region, with full understanding of planning processes, environmental legislation and heritage regulations.
