Officer – Institutional Research and Data Analytics
The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking an Officer – Institutional Research and Data Analytics to support the Institutional Effectiveness Department in collecting, analyzing, managing, and reporting institutional data. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of institutional information to support strategic planning, accreditation requirements, institutional assessment, and data-informed decision‑making.
The Officer will work closely with the Director of Institutional Effectiveness and other University stakeholders to provide analytical support, prepare reports, maintain databases, and contribute to institutional research initiatives that align with the University's mission and strategic goals.
Location:
Dubai International Academic City, Dubai, UAE.
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field from an accredited university. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant experience in institutional research, data analytics, reporting, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably within a higher education environment.
- Experience working with databases, reporting tools, and statistical software.
- Strong research, analytical, and database management skills.
- Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with statistical software and programming languages such as SPSS, R, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of higher education reporting, assessment, and accreditation requirements is an advantage.
- Collect, validate, maintain, and analyze institutional data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Assist in preparing statistical, analytical, and performance reports for institutional planning, accreditation, assessment, and decision‑making purposes.
- Support the development and maintenance of institutional databases, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Respond to internal and external data requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in compiling and submitting required institutional data to accreditation bodies, government agencies, and external stakeholders.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support institutional research projects and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor institutional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and assist in the preparation of related reports.
- Support assessment, benchmarking, and survey administration activities across the University.
- Maintain documentation related to institutional research processes, methodologies, and reporting practices.
- Assist in the preparation of annual departmental reports and continuous improvement documentation.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to gather and verify data required for institutional reporting and accreditation activities.
- Ensure compliance with University policies regarding data governance, confidentiality, and information security.
- Participate in relevant committees, meetings, and institutional initiatives as assigned.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Institutional Effectiveness or University management.
