Key Responsibilities- Elevate FIVE’s culinary experience by meticulously preparing dishes alongside the Chef De Partie, ensuring quality and presentation standards.
- Own and manage designated kitchen section (sauce, grill, pastry), adding bespoke artistry.
- Innovate menu offerings, harmonising local flavours, global trends and dietary preferences.
- Demonstrate mastery of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques, upholding food hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with chefs and supervisors to create exceptional dining experiences.
- Mentor and support junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment.
- Organise and set up kitchen section before service periods for efficient operations.
- Manage ingredient stock levels and adopt a minimum‑waste approach when ordering.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean, orderly kitchen.
- Participate in menu tastings, evaluations and training sessions.
- Proven track record as a Demi Chef De Partie in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Experience with pre‑opening kitchen operations advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, fluent in English.
- Proficiency in culinary techniques, presentation and plating methods.
- Familiarity with safe use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Collaborative skills, supporting senior chefs and inspiring junior staff.
- Meticulous eye for detail, ensuring food quality and presentation.
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and health and safety regulations.
- Positive "can‑do" attitude, proactive in menu development and culinary concepts.
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
