- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and presenting Mediterranean dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared and ready for service in a timely manner.
- Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all food items.
- Support daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow during service.
- Follow all hygiene, health, and safety standards (HACCP) at all times.
- Properly store food items, label, and date products in line with food safety regulations.
- Minimize food wastage and control portioning.
- Assist in training and guiding Commis Chefs when required.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the workstation and kitchen equipment.
- Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Participate in stock rotation (FIFO) and assist with inventory checks.
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar role within a hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
- Previous experience in Mediterranean cuisine is mandatory.
- Culinary diploma or relevant professional certification preferred.
- Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene standards and food safety practices.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
