The showroom sales supervisor is a customer-focused leader responsible for guiding a high-performing sales team in a premium showroom. This role blends sales leadership with product expertise, particularly in fabrics and upholstery, to help customers select options that meet style, comfort, durability, and care needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by listening to needs, offering design recommendations, and presenting fabric options with confidence.
  • Train new hires on product knowledge, sales techniques, showroom standards, and safety procedures; mentor ongoing staff development.
  • Manage showroom operations, including visual merchandising, product placement, inventory control, and floor coverage; ensure all displays reflect current styles and fabric finishes.
  • Handle complex customer inquiries, quotes, order processing, and follow-up; coordinate with design consultants and production teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and merchandise teams to forecast demand, provide feedback on fabrics and finishes, and communicate customer trends.
Requirements And Qualifications
  • Proven experience in retail showroom sales with supervisory or team‑lead responsibilities; minimum 3 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, upholstery, furniture construction, and interior design trends; ability to translate technical details into customer‑ready recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills; comfortable engaging with diverse client profiles from first‑time buyers to designers.
  • Proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems, CRM software, and basic reporting; ability to analyze sales metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Highly organized, results‑driven, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced showroom environment.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts as needed; valid work authorization.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of fabrics and furniture upholstery.
