Job SummaryThe Inventory Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate stock records and ensuring efficient inventory control within the Distribution Centre across multiple retail and F&B concepts in the United Arab Emirates. This role involves overseeing receiving, issuing, stock handling, and system transactions to ensure alignment between physical inventory and system records. The Inventory Officer plays a key role in stock accuracy, reporting, reconciliation, and supporting operational requirements through effective inventory management.
Job Responsibilities- Verify and inspect incoming shipments, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Oversee counting, labeling, tagging, and proper storage of goods.
- Process Goods Received Notes (GRNs), invoices, freight, and duty documentation in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system.
- Manage store transfer orders, coordinate with third‑party logistics providers (3PL), and process stock allocation requests.
- Record stock transfers, returns, adjustments, write‑offs, and promotional allocations accurately in the system.
- Generate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all inventory movements and transactions.
- Ensure organized warehouse storage to optimize stock accessibility and space utilization.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist in monthly and annual stock reconciliation processes.
- Monitor stock levels and product expirations to minimize losses.
- Ensure timely submission of inventory reports to Finance, HR, Stores, and Buyers.
- Manage store incoming and outgoing inventory transactions using Navision or the company ERP system.
- Support annual stock‑take planning and reconciliation between third‑party systems and internal ERP.
- Provide administrative support when required.
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse and inventory management.
- Current residency in the United Arab Emirates.
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in English.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel is essential).
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Navision.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
