The Head – Retail Marketing & Visual Merchandising will lead all in-store marketing initiatives and visual presentation strategies to drive footfall, enhance customer experience, and maximize store sales performance. This role is responsible for creating compelling retail environments, executing high-impact promotions, and ensuring consistent brand expression across all store locations.
The ideal candidate combines commercial retail understanding with strong creative and execution capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement store-level marketing strategies to drive walk-ins and revenue.
- Plan and execute seasonal promotions, sales campaigns, and new product launches.
- Collaborate with mall management and local partners for on-ground activations.
- Ensure integration between retail, digital, and regional marketing efforts.
- Define and standardize VM guidelines across all stores.
- Lead window displays, in-store layouts, signage, and promotional installations.
- Ensure effective product placement to drive conversions and increase basket size.
- Refresh store look periodically to maintain customer interest.
- Monitor KPIs: footfall, conversion rate, sell-through, average bill value, and store productivity.
- Use sales data and customer insights to refine displays and promotional activities.
- Conduct regular store audits to ensure execution excellence.
- Maintain strong brand identity across all retail touchpoints.
- Enhance in-store experience through creative storytelling and visual appeal.
- Ensure stores reflect current campaigns and brand positioning.
- Manage marketing and VM budgets efficiently.
- Coordinate with external vendors, fabricators, printers, and agencies.
- Ensure cost-effective and timely implementation of campaigns.
- Lead, train, and mentor retail marketing and VM teams.
- Work closely with operations, merchandising, and buying teams.
- Drive accountability and performance culture within the team.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Design, or related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in retail marketing and/or visual merchandising.
- Strong understanding of multi-store retail operations.
- Proven experience in driving store sales growth.
