Position: Merchandiser (FMCG)

Responsibilities

  • Execute in-store product placement strategies to maximize shelf space and visibility, boosting sales for key FMCG brands.
  • Manage and maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stockouts and minimize overstocking, ensuring product availability.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with store managers and staff to secure prime shelf positions and promotional opportunities.
  • Implement and monitor promotional activities and displays, tracking their effectiveness and providing actionable insights.
  • Conduct regular store audits to assess planogram compliance and identify areas for improvement in product presentation.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for increased sales and recommend product adjustments.
  • Ensure all products are correctly priced and labeled, adhering to company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Gather competitor intelligence on pricing, promotions, and new product launches to inform market strategies.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports on sales, inventory and merchandising activities.
  • Manage and maintain company assets such as point-of-sale materials and display equipment in good condition.
Qualifications
  • Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference for a diploma in marketing or a related field.
  • Experience of 1-3 years in FMCG merchandising or a similar role, demonstrating a proven track record of success.
  • Fluent in English and the local language; both written and spoken, enabling effective communication with store staff and customers.
  • Nationality preference for candidates residing in the local market, with a strong understanding of local consumer behavior.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills, building rapport and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Displays excellent organizational and time-management skills, managing multiple store visits efficiently.
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and proactive approach, consistently exceeding expectations and demonstrating initiative.
