The OpportunityReporting to the Middle East Brand Director Niche & Wellness, the Retail Manager – Byredo is responsible for the overall management of the retail business with full accountability for driving both commercial performance and brand value through retail and wholesale doors across the UAE. In addition this role is also responsible for supporting our market partners in the region. Key to the role is to ensure delivery of sales, profitability, KPI goals and business objectives.
The retail manager is a brand ambassador and leader of their teams and should uphold and champion our values. The Retail Manager is accountable for leading their teams in delivering exceptional and consistent customer experience in line with the brand service and proposition, while actively contributing to business strategy, identifying growth opportunities and influencing key drivers such as flagship performance, clientelling and retail experience evolution.
- Analyze sales reports and data to determine business needs and set forward‑looking, opportunity‑driven strategies.
- Set individual sales and business objectives aligned with each store’s needs and goals.
- Ensure teams maintain constant client communication through clienteling and CRM, actively building a quality, segmented database to increase sales, loyalty and long‑term client value.
- Collaborate with Marketing to deliver market‑relevant initiatives that drive traffic, conversion and engagement.
- Stay up to date on market trends and competitor activity, sharing insights with teams.
- Identify and lead business opportunities beyond day‑to‑day operations to support sustained regional growth.
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Drive retail as a strategic pillar of brand development, aligning commercial performance with brand positioning.
- Contribute to business planning and decision‑making using insights from performance, client behavior and market dynamics.
- Identify opportunities to expand across existing stores, new locations and formats.
- Shape the evolution of clienteling, CRM, retail experience and flagship positioning across the region.
- Provide clear, structured insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
Profitability
- Manage and control profitability across stores and region, ensuring gross margin and EBITDA targets are met while identifying opportunities to optimize performance and cost base.
Customer Service
- Lead the delivery of a best‑in‑class luxury client experience, ensuring differentiation and emotional engagement.
- Lead by example with an active presence on the sales floor.
- Ensure flagship stores act as benchmark environments for service excellence across the network.
- Maintain consistently elevated service standards, including fragrance profiling, evolving with client expectations and brand positioning.
- Empower teams to make customer‑focused decisions aligned with company values.
People Management
- Build and develop high‑performing teams with strong Store Manager leadership.
- Develop future leaders to ensure a sustainable succession pipeline.
- Drive a performance culture based on clear expectations, accountability and continuous development.
- Manage HR issues effectively in line with policies, partnering with HR and the Regional Brand Director as needed.
- Conduct performance reviews to identify strengths and development needs.
- Implement and maintain merchandising and visual guidelines to the highest standards.
- Ensure displays, windows and presentation align with campaign guidelines, supporting brand storytelling and client experience.
- Partner with In‑store, VM teams and Store Managers to ensure appropriate assortment and communicate inventory needs.
- Identify and communicate product concerns in a timely manner.
Operations
- Ensure all operational standards are maintained at all times in line with company policies and procedures.
