Responsibilities

  • Trend Research & Product Development: Continuously research market trends, seasonal decor themes, and customer preferences to expand and refine the decor product range. Work closely with designers to develop and refine products.
  • Vendor Identification & Sourcing: Identify potential vendors and suppliers that offer unique and high-quality decor items. Build and maintain relationships with global and local vendors to ensure a competitive edge.
  • Pricing & Margin Control: Manage product pricing to maximize profit margins while maintaining competitive pricing. Ensure all pricing strategies align with company objectives and market positioning.
  • Order Management: Assist in order placement, ensure proper documentation, track shipments, and confirm products meet the quality standards. Follow up on any delays or production issues.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitors and market trends in the home decor sector. Make recommendations based on competitor analysis and emerging market demands.
  • Visual Merchandising: Collaborate with the merchandising team to ensure decor products are presented in an appealing manner in stores or online platforms.
  • Customer Insights: Gather customer feedback to understand product preferences and adjust the range accordingly.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in category management, purchasing, or buying within the home decor or furniture industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the home decor industry, including trends, materials, and suppliers.
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and other relevant tools.
  • Strong project management abilities.

    Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.
