Department Manager | Emaar Properties | UAE

The Department Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing daily retail operations and delivering excellent customer service. The role focuses on maximizing sales, developing retail staff, maintaining store standards, and ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.

The Department Manager will also take end-to-end responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager
, ensuring smooth operations, customer satisfaction, team performance, and sales growth.

• Ensure the highest standards of customer service are consistently delivered by retail staff.
• Support and coach team members to develop the skills required to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.
• Assist the Store Manager in managing an efficient and profitable store operation.
• Take full responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Promote the company’s loyalty program to increase customer retention, repeat purchases, and sales.
• Provide regular feedback to the Store Manager and Area Manager regarding employee performance, customer feedback, and products.
• Maintain strong knowledge of products, brands, fashion trends, and new product launches.
• Stay updated on current fashion and product trends to effectively understand and anticipate customer needs.
• Ensure retail staff are properly trained to provide excellent customer service and support sales targets.
• Assist in implementing store operating procedures according to company standards.
• Ensure all employees follow company policies, brand guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Regularly review store administration and take corrective action to resolve operational issues.
• Prepare and manage staff rosters, leave schedules, and employee grievances.
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising (VM) in accordance with company guidelines.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to encourage repeat business and strengthen customer relationships.
• Keep the Store Manager and Area Manager informed about staff performance, product issues, and store requirements.
• Maintain awareness of store security and follow loss-prevention procedures to minimize stock loss.
• Develop knowledge of different brands within the group to support effective suggestive selling and cross-selling.
• Monitor daily store activities and ensure the department operates efficiently.
• Maintain a professional, fashionable, and well-groomed appearance while representing the brand.
• Be physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing duties involving heavy lifting when required.
