The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and growing strategic accounts in the UAE market, ensuring achievement of sales targets, profitability, and long-term business growth. The role focuses on strengthening customer relationships, executing account plans, and maximizing brand visibility across all key customers.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities1. Account Management
- Own and manage a portfolio of key accounts in UAE.
- Build strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders.
- Ensure full execution of agreed account strategies, plans, and activations.
- Achieve agreed sales targets, volume, and revenue KPIs per account.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and convert them into profitable growth.
- Implement trade programs and promotions aligned with BU strategy.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Provide actionable insights to BU and marketing teams to drive business decisions.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, timely reporting, and compliance with company policies.
- Resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly.
- Maintain updated CRM and all customer-related documentation.
- Achievement of assigned sales volume and revenue targets.
- Market share growth within key accounts.
- Successful execution of account plans, trade programs, and promotions.
- Customer satisfaction and retention levels.
- New business opportunities converted into revenue.
- Accuracy and timeliness of reporting and forecasts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10–12 years of experience in Key Account Management / National Accounts, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong understanding of UAE retail and wholesale channels.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage strategic accounts.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Analytical thinking with ability to translate insights into action plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
