General Practitioner Veterinarian – Surgical Skills & Internal Medicine
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and motivated General Practitioner Veterinarian with strong surgical capabilities and a solid background in internal medicine and infectious diseases. The successful candidate will provide high-quality medical and surgical care to companion animals, manage complex medical cases, diagnose and treat infectious diseases, and perform routine soft tissue surgeries while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities Internal Medicine
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of internal medicine cases, including endocrine, gastrointestinal, respiratory, renal, hepatic and cardiovascular disorders.
- Investigate and treat infectious and zoonotic diseases in companion animals.
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
- Interpret advanced diagnostic tests including hematology, biochemistry, cytology, urinalysis, serology and diagnostic imaging.
- Implement infection control and biosecurity protocols within the hospital.
- Provide guidance to clients regarding disease prevention, vaccination, parasite control and public health concerns.
- Diagnose and manage infectious and zoonotic diseases in companion animals.
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans and monitor patient progress.

- Strong knowledge of companion animal internal medicine.
- Experience diagnosing and managing infectious and zoonotic diseases.
- Excellent diagnostic and case management skills.
- Proficiency in routine soft tissue surgery and perioperative patient care.
- Strong understanding of laboratory diagnostics and interpretation.
- Ability to manage complex medical and surgical cases independently.
- Excellent communication and client education skills.
- Commitment to high standards of animal welfare and evidence-based veterinary medicine.
- 3+ years of companion animal practice.
- Strong experience in internal medicine and infectious disease management.
- Routine soft tissue surgery, including spays, neuters, mass removals, and wound repair.
- Dental and dental radiography preferred.
- Experience with shelter medicine, rescue medicine, and TNR programs is an advantage.
- Ultrasonography and advanced diagnostic skills are highly desirable.
