• Construct, repair, and install wooden fixtures, furniture, doors, windows, and cabinetry in guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wooden structures to ensure safety and aesthetic standards.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Customize furniture and fittings to meet specific hotel design and functionality requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance and housekeeping teams to address repair requests promptly.
• Inspect wooden structures for damage, rot, or wear and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain and organize carpentry tools and materials for efficient workflow.
• Assist in renovation or refurbishment projects by installing or restoring wooden elements.
• Coordinate with contractors or suppliers for specialized carpentry tasks when needed.

Your experience and skills include:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred
• Proven experience in carpentry, ideally within commercial or hospitality environments
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials
• Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical drawings
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards relevant to hospitality settings
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with maintenance and other hotel departments
• Flexibility to work various shifts and respond to urgent repair needs
