Fiber Installation Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Fiber Installation Supervisor to lead and oversee fiber optic installation projects. This role involves supervising field technicians, ensuring quality control, maintaining safety compliance, and meeting project deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise in fiber optics, and a commitment to delivering high-performance network infrastructure.

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of fiber installation teams
• Plan, assign, and review work to ensure timely completion and adherence to standards
• Conduct site surveys, assess project requirements, and prepare reports
• Ensure installations comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements
• Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of installation technicians
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and communicate status to management
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper documentation
• Manage tools, equipment, and inventory used by the installation teams
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, and clients as needed

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree or technical certification in telecommunications or related field is preferred
• Minimum of 35 years of experience in fiber optic installation, with at least 12 years in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of fiber installation practices, splicing, and testing procedures
• Proficient with fiber optic testing equipment such as OTDRs, power meters, and splicing tools
• Familiarity with aerial and underground fiber installation techniques
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills

• FOA CFOS / T or CFOT certification
• Experience with GIS mapping or project management software
• Knowledge of local permitting and utility regulations
