Responsibilities
Carry out masonry works including block work, brickwork, plastering, tiling, screeding, and minor concrete repairs as part of facilities maintenance activities.
Attend reactive maintenance calls related to civil works such as wall cracks, damaged plaster, broken tiles, interlock repairs, and minor structural defects.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks for civil finishes to ensure buildings remain in safe and presentable condition.
Repair and restore surfaces including walls, bathtubs base, floors, steps, kerbs, and pavements using appropriate materials and techniques.
Ensure proper alignment, level, and finish of masonry works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and FM quality standards.
Coordinate with supervisors and other trades (carpenters, painters, plumbers, etc.) to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Ensure all works are executed in compliance with safety standards, site procedures, and permit-to-work requirements.
Identify and report material requirements in advance to avoid work delays.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition and ensure proper housekeeping after task completion.
Update job cards and work orders in CAFM / CMMS systems upon completion of assigned tasks.
Support emergency civil works and after-hours maintenance activities when required.
Requirements- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Mason in Facilities Management or building maintenance projects within the region.
- Strong knowledge of masonry works including plastering, tiling, block work, screeding, and finishing repairs.
- Familiarity with FM maintenance procedures and reactive maintenance workflows.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices related to civil works.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
