This role sits within a team responsible for building and operating systems that support bilateral execution between counter parties in environments where transactions are negotiated, stateful, and subject to strict performance and reliability requirements.
The systems involved manage complex life cycles across execution, confirmation, and post-execution workflows. Emphasis is placed on deterministic behavior, failure recovery, and correctness under load. Engineers in this group are expected to think in terms of system in variants, lifecycle state, and operational risk.
The position is suited for a senior engineer with experience in high‑stakes transactional systems.
Responsibilities:- Design and maintain core services supporting negotiated execution and confirmation workflows
- Implement distributed components for transaction state management, pricing logic, and exposure controls
- Collaborate with quantitative, operational, and product stakeholders to translate complex workflows into production systems
- Build fault‑tolerant services handling reconciliation, settlement, and externally constrained processes
- Improve system observability, resilience, and operational correctness
- Experience building or operating systems that support bilateral or negotiated transactions
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in systems‑level or performance‑oriented programming
- Solid understanding of transaction life cycles, risk or exposure management, or comparable domain complexity
Experience:
- Experience with Rust or similar low‑level languages
- Familiarity with real‑time messaging or event‑driven architectures
- Background in low‑latency or algorithmically driven systems
- Experience working in environments with regulatory or contractual constraints
This role offers the opportunity to work on systems where design decisions have immediate, real‑world impact. The problems are non‑trivial, the constraints are real, and the work rewards engineers who care deeply about correctness, clarity, and long‑term system behavior.
Candidates who value ownership, technical rigor, and building infrastructure that quietly but reliably does its job are encouraged to apply.
