We’re partnering with a leading, publicly listed fintech innovator that is building the next generation of institutional-grade trading and exchange infrastructure.
This is a rare opportunity for a hands-on Staff Engineer to architect and build high-throughput, low-latency systems powering 24/7 global markets — without the distraction of people management.
What You’ll Be Doing- Architect and build backend systems processing 100k+ transactions per second
- Design and write production code across trading, clearing, funding, and custody pipelines
- Solve complex latency, concurrency, and distributed systems challenges
- Define microservices, event-driven architectures, and API standards
- Drive code quality via reviews, CI/CD best practices, and technical mentorship
- Engineer observability, resilience, and fault tolerance at scale
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering velocity
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
- Expert proficiency in Scala, Java, or Go
- Deep knowledge of Kafka, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Strong understanding of consistency models, concurrency, and JVM tuning
- Background in fintech, crypto, or other regulated environments
- Blockchain or custody/wallet infrastructure experience
- Matching engines, risk engines, or HFT systems exposure
