Senior Software Engineer – Cyber Security

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Backend / Systems) to join our core team. This role is focused on building scalable, high-performance software systems
, with an emphasis on developing a next‑generation network security platform.

The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer at heart, with experience in building backend systems, and an interest in applying those skills to networking and cybersecurity domains.

• 5+ years of experience in backend or systems engineering
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a pragmatic approach to delivery
• Experience owning services in production (design, deployment, monitoring)
• Interest in networking and cybersecurity domain

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices.
• Build robust APIs and data pipelines for processing and analyzing network traffic and security events.
• Architect distributed systems that are performant, resilient, and maintainable.

• Integrate backend services with firewall platforms (e.g., OPNsense) via REST APIs.
• Develop services that interact with networking and security components such as proxies, IDS/IPS, and traffic inspection engines.
• Translate networking and security requirements into scalable software components.

• Strong proficiency in Java or Golang
• Experience building microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems
• Experience with caching (e.g., Redis), databases (e.g., Postgre
  
  SQL), and observability tools (e.g., ELK)

• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, routing, and firewall behavior
• Exposure to traffic filtering, IDS/IPS, or secure web gateways
• Experience with tools such as OPNsense, Suricata, Snort, or Squid is a plus
