Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain complex software systems with scalability, performance, and security in mind
- Deliver solutions across front-end and back-end technologies, including VoIP systems, CRM systems telephony billing, and prototype hardware/software integration
- Contribute to the full software delivery lifecycle, from requirements gathering and specification through to development, testing, deployment, and support
- Ensure coding standards, documentation, and best practices are maintained
- Adopt new AI technology safely and efficiently
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and third-level support for junior developers
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of development team members
- Act as the highest point of escalation for software or telephony-related issues
- Promote a culture of collaboration, openness, and proactive problem-solving within the team
- Work closely with senior management, product owners, and major stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood, prioritised, and delivered effectively
- Communicate technical progress, risks, and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and customers, including negotiation and ongoing engagement
- Research emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions
- Stay up to date with advances in AI, Dev Ops, and industry trends relevant to software development and related tooling
- Contribute to the development of tools, environments, and processes that improve delivery effectiveness
- Strong expertise in software development across front-end and back-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript/Type Script, PHP, Python, Node.js, databases)- Knowledge of software/electronic product prototyping and integration with hardware systems
- Familiarity with microservices, containers, and CI/CD practices
- Background knowledge of cybersecurity principles
