Position Overview
The Diving Instructor will be responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and professional scuba diving experiences to guests across Beno’s Water Sports Division. This role requires exceptional diving skills, strong instructional capabilities, deep knowledge of diving equipment and safety procedures, and a passion for marine adventure. The ideal candidate must be certified, experienced, and capable of providing world‑class service aligned with Beno’s brand standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Diving Instruction & Guest Experience
- Conduct introductory and advanced scuba diving lessons for individuals and groups.
- Guide certified divers on recreational dives, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Provide detailed pre‑dive briefings, demonstrations, and skill practice sessions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, focusing on safety, comfort, and overall guest satisfaction.
2. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all safety guidelines and emergency procedures in accordance with international diving standards.
- Perform real‑time risk assessments based on weather, water conditions, and diver readiness.
- Ensure all diving activities comply with UAE maritime safety regulations and internal SOPs.
- Administer first aid or emergency response if necessary.
3. Equipment Handling & Maintenance
- Prepare, inspect, and maintain diving gear (tanks, regulators, BCDs, wetsuits, weights, etc.).
- Ensure all equipment is in excellent working condition and regularly serviced.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance logs.
4. Operations & Reporting
- Assist in daily diving operations, scheduling, and activity coordination.
- Maintain guest waivers, certifications, and diving logs.
- Communicate any safety risks, incidents, or equipment issues to supervisors immediately.
- Support the Water Sports team with additional duties when required.
- Valid Diving Instructor Certification (PADI, SSI, NAUI, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in diving instruction.
- Strong swimming and free‑diving ability.
- Excellent communication and guest‑handling skills.
- Knowledge of marine life, environmental conservation, and safe diving practices.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor marine environments.
- First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Provider certification (mandatory).
- Valid UAE work eligibility (or ability to obtain).
