Spa Therapist

Job Description

Be responsible for spa treatment consultations and identification of possible contraindications.

• Perform beauty therapy treatments, massage and body therapy treatments and specialized treatments for members and guests to the required standard and provide guests with a home-care well‑being program.
• Provide after‑care advice for members or guests.
• Achieve retail sales goals.
• Ensure that all treatment rooms and therapy back‑of‑house areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ensure that all equipment is serviced as part of a preventative maintenance program.
• Carry out spa tours and spa consultations with guests and members, giving personalized advice and promoting facilities, treatments and products.
• Assist during spa promotions and events.
• Assist with marketing and public relations.
• Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products offered.
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
• Perform prep work, properly clean and restock rooms as required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Possess active license or certification in related field.
• One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast‑paced environment and have a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork.
