Marine Assurance Superintendent

A leading offshore marine contractor is seeking an experienced Marine Assurance Superintendent to join its expanding team in Dubai. This role supports safe, compliant, and efficient marine operations across a diverse offshore fleet, with a strong focus on pipelay barge activities.

• Oversee marine assurance activities, ensuring full compliance with international, flag state, and class requirements.
• Conduct vessel audits, inspections, and navigational assessments, with emphasis on pipelay barges and associated offshore operations.
• Support and enhance the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) in line with ISM Code requirements.
• Review and monitor vessel performance, incident reports, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Liaise with Masters, Chief Officers, DP teams, and project stakeholders to ensure safe operational readiness.
• Provide expert guidance on marine operations, navigational safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in emergency response, incident investigation, and root-cause analysis activities.

• Sailing experience in rank as Chief Officer or Master Mariner (mandatory).
• Shore-based experience within marine assurance, HSEQ, marine operations, or technical management.
• Direct experience with pipelay barges or other project/construction vessel types.
• Solid understanding of maritime regulations, class rules, and offshore operational standards.
• ISM Code experience and audit exposure (Lead/Internal Auditor preferred).
• Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced offshore project environment.
