Overview
Description To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.
Responsibilities- Support the overall, daily management of operational duties and deputize for the Operations Manager when required.
- Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station; supervise logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to ensure shipments meet and exceed defined KPIs.
- Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coach when needed, and partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations; communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and raise quality of deliverables.
- Interview candidates for associate roles.
- Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates; maintain accuracy in all administrative tasks; measure and monitor workflows and daily metrics to assist with tracking, trending and reporting on site performance.
- Assist with training and mentoring new Associates to ensure they have the knowledge to perform their tasks; follow up on and resolve process-related issues as required.
- Perform physical duties such as pushing carts up to 100 pounds and lifting packages up to 15 kg.
- Be flexible to work in different shifts and willing to do overtime when needed.
- Together with the Operations Manager, resource the function from a personal standpoint, including training needs, absence and performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
- Basic Qualifications – Experience in warehouse operations
- Basic Qualifications – Experience in logistics
- Preferred Qualifications – Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement
