Asiana Marine DMCC is a newly established shipping company in JLT, Dubai, UAE.

We are operating a few Handysize to Capesize bulk vessels mainly in the Far East – South East Asia – India/PG – W. Africa regions.

Now we are looking for a skilled and experienced Shipping Operator to join us in Dubai office.

Responsibilities
  • Operator for bulk carriers managed commercially by TCT or VC etc.
  • Issue voyage instructions to vessels, overseeing day to day operations of ships
  • Liaise with charterers, shipowners, port authorities, and service providers (weather routing, PNI Club, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Check voyage bunker requirement and coordinate with bunkering PIC for timely and competitive purchase of bunkers
  • Appoint agents and surveyors as necessary to ensure timely operations
  • Oversee invoicing of freight and charter hire, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor ship’s speed and consumption and vessel maintaining performance record. Highlight under-performance if any to weather routing company or the ship owner and take necessary steps to rectify the issues
  • Assist in settlement of disputes if any with the concerned parties
  • Prepare final freight statements, ensuring all data is accurate and completed on time
  • Ensure optimum turn-around times for vessels in port, minimizing delays and maximizing efficiency, maintain record of off-hire, manage cost control
  • Prepare documentation/post-voyage analysis reports
  • Implement operational best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Be creative and take active participation in ops from time to time
Qualifications
  • University degree in maritime/logistics or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in drybulk shipping operations with proven track record
  • Strong knowledge of charter parties, cargo handling, and port operations.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders including agents, surveyors, and port authorities
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt and learn
