The Bus Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school, following established routes and safety protocols.

• Operate the school bus in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Ensure the safety of students during transit, including the use of seat belts and other safety measures.

• Follow designated bus routes and schedules to pick up and drop off students at assigned locations.
• Notify the transportation coordinator of any deviations or delays in the route.

• Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the school bus.
• Report any mechanical issues or concerns promptly to the transportation coordinator.

• Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
• Enforce bus rules and discipline students as needed, reporting behavioral issues to school authorities.

• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Report any incidents or concerns related to students' well-being during transportation.

• Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including evacuations and first aid if necessary.
• Attend training sessions on emergency procedures and protocols.

• Keep accurate records of daily routes, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transportation.
• Complete and submit required reports to the transportation coordinator.

• Provide courteous and professional customer service to students, parents, and school staff.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with passengers.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Completion of a school bus driver training program.

With 1‑3 years experience with at least 1‑2 years of experience as a school bus driver.
