Job Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Export Shipping Co-ordinator to manage and coordinate all export shipping activities. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth and timely movement of goods across international borders while ensuring compliance with customs regulations, shipping documentation, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and manage all documentation and processes related to export shipments.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs agents, and internal departments to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
- Prepare and verify export documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing updates to customers and resolving any issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions and documentation.
- Work closely with sales, warehouse, and finance teams to align on shipping schedules, inventory, and customer requirements.
- Arrange for insurance, inspection, and certification as required by customers or destination countries.
- Negotiate freight rates and schedules with logistics providers where necessary.
- Proactively handle customer queries related to shipping and delivery timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in export shipping or international logistics.
- Solid knowledge of international shipping procedures and documentation.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, customs regulations, and export compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
