Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating end-to-end logistics and supply chain activities to ensure the timely and efficient movement of goods, materials, and shipments. The role involves close coordination with suppliers, freight providers, warehouses, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders to support smooth operational and distribution processes. The position plays a key role in overseeing shipment scheduling, tracking deliveries, maintaining accurate logistics documentation, and ensuring compliance with local and international shipping regulations.
The Logistics Coordinator will also support inventory control, resolve shipment-related issues, and contribute to continuous process improvements aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and cost effectiveness. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced aerospace logistics environment while coordinating across multiple regions and time zones.
- Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments
- Schedule deliveries and arrange transportation with carriers and freight providers
- Track shipments and update stakeholders on delivery status
- Prepare and manage shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and related customs documents
- Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock control
- Communicate with suppliers, warehouses, and customers to resolve issues
- Identify and troubleshoot delays, damages, or discrepancies
- Optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Support warehouse and distribution operations as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or aerospace logistics operations
- Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and logistics documentation
- Experience coordinating inbound and outbound shipments across multiple regions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Hands-on experience with ERP, logistics, or transportation management systems such as SAP, Epicor, or similar platforms is an advantage
- Good understanding of inventory management and warehouse coordination processes
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment and coordinate across different time zones
- Prior experience within the aerospace, aviation, or engineering industry would be an advantage
