Heavy Truck Driver

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maneuver heavy trucks ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and safety protocols
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections identifying any mechanical issues and ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy
• Transport goods and materials efficiently adhering to delivery schedules and maintaining accurate logs of mileage and fuel consumption
• Load and unload cargo as necessary using proper techniques to prevent damage and injury

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in heavy truck operation is a plus
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record and endorsements as required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving heavy trucks, preferably in a similar industry
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic repair skills to address minor issues on the road
