Job Summary.

Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, Logistics Assistant will primarily be involved with the day-to-day operation, negotiating and executing of the logistics functions. The logistics assistant should follow standard procedures, portals and ERP to perform and complete the assigned tasks.

• Assist coordinators in planning and processing of shipment through OTM
• Document preparation for Ready orders and screening through GTM before dispatch (visual compliance)
• Coordinating with the different BU, sales team, compliance department, Freight forwarders and customers to ensure delivery is on time.
• Negotiate with Carriers and Freight forwarders for the best rates and shipping schedule.
• Local movements for repairs and rework. Should have comprehensive knowledge of the Temporary export and Import regulation.
• Maintaining complete record of the temporary movement import /export and follow up until claim submission.
• Should be able to operate the ERP System i.e. JDE, OTM, GTM, TAT proficiently
• Trouble shoot and resolve day to day operational issues that prevent product flow.
• Uploading the POD on the shared drive and web portal
• Prepare and maintain daily reports and Data for management review.

• At least 3 years’ experience in logistics.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• JAFZA experience highly preferred.
• Oil and Gas or Manufacturing experience highly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge in ERP system (JDE / OTM / TAT knowledge Preferred).
• Team player and ability to work under pressure, multitasking.
• Excellent Knowledge and Skill to use computers, proficiency of Microsoft office.
• English Language (Professional working proficiency).
• Analytical approach.
• Fast Learner.
