Job Title:
Inventory Specialist Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Specialist to ensure inventory accuracy between warehouse management systems and physical stock, while supporting inventory control, cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and warehouse optimization activities. The role is responsible for maintaining inventory integrity, identifying discrepancies, and driving continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy between system records and physical stock.
- Perform cycle counts and coordinate periodic physical inventory audits.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and conduct root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve inventory accuracy.
- Ensure item masters, stock quantities, locations, and inventory statuses are accurately maintained.
- Support warehouse storage optimization and housekeeping initiatives.
- Prepare inventory reports, analysis, and performance metrics for management.
- Provide inventory-related training and guidance to warehouse operations teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve receiving, storage, and outbound processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management processes and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain environments.
- Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems.
- Hazardous Materials certification is an advantage.
