Principal Cloud Ops Engineer (Dublin, CA)

Articul8 AI is seeking an experienced Lead Cloud Engineer who has expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of Gen AI/ML technologies, cloud platforms, and applications and an ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient.

• Serve as a technical lead, architecting and designing complex cloud native and cloud agnostic-based infrastructure for building and scaling our enterprise GenAI platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, applied research, customer success and technology teams contributing to roadmap planning and technology evaluations.
• Be a hands‑on engineer who delivers solutions that set the example for rapid innovation, engineering excellence, from architecture to algorithms to implementations.
• Mentor and develop engineers, help define and grow the technical culture, and assist in attracting and retaining engineering talent.
• Rotating responsibilities for on‑call when required.
• At the direction of the technology team, develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy AWS (GCP or Azure) applications, including large‑scale structured and unstructured data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and Large Language Models.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
• Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud‑based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary.
• Demonstrate exceptional problem‑solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity.

• Eight or more years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on any one of the cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Hands‑on involvement in the architecture, development, and deployment of reliable cloud applications.
• Experience in database architecture, ETL, artificial intelligence, big data, and machine learning.
• Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well‑architected framework.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of product managers, software developers, applied researchers, data scientists, and subject‑matter experts.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or mathematics.
• Knowledge of web services, API, REST, and RPC.
• AWS (or GCP/Azure) certification.
