Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Home Loan Underwriter to work with our financial client in the East Bay. This individual will be working within the Business Loan department, with the Senior Home Loan Underwriter and VP to provide insightful and timely credit analysis of prospective and current borrowers. The loan underwriter will be performing in-depth underwriting analysis of each borrower’s character, credit worthiness and financial condition.

On average, the expectation is to process 5–6 equity loans and 4–5 first mortgage loans per day. They will investigate all sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus and agencies. This position is a contract role with potential for extensions and long-term employment, upon positive performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in the mortgage environment

• 3+ years experience underwriting conventional home loans

• Proficiency in MS Applications, including Word and Outlook

• Availability to be on site 3 days a week

Compensation:

$30.00/hr to $35.00/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
