General PurposeSupport the Sr. Director, Store Facilities in providing facility services to all stores for assigned responsibilities. Direct staff and vendor network in the planning and provision of timely, cost‑effective repairs, emergency response and capital projects. The role will be engaged in the strategic development of the department, including operational and systems enhancements, third‑party software opportunities, vendor identification, service programs and preventative maintenance program development.
The Director will analyze historical information, recommend and implement improvements in staffing, organization, risk assessment, vendor selection, SLAs, and disaster recovery pre‑planning. The Director will develop the technical and managerial skills of the team and provide leadership to improve overall departmental performance, interacting closely with many departments throughout the organization.
- Provide leadership to direct and subordinate reports, develop technical and managerial skills, and drive team performance through meaningful metrics, training, coaching, and engagement.
- Drive strong vendor performance for timely and cost‑effective repairs through procurement practices, performance evaluation, and industry awareness.
- Develop and execute proactive preventative maintenance, monitoring, and replacement programs for all assigned areas and assets.
- Develop disaster recovery preparedness processes and vendor network to respond effectively to emergencies.
- Plan, forecast, execute, and track all assigned expense and capital programs, providing accurate reporting.
- Identify and implement new technology solutions to improve operational performance, asset and systems monitoring, and diagnostics.
- Represent Ross Stores in the facilities vendor community; negotiate and drive vendor performance in line with the company’s ethical guidelines.
- Prepare budgets, performance and expense analyses, project justifications, and program analyses; develop effective reporting.
- Lead vendor relationships for new vendor identification, price and performance negotiation, SLA compliance, and overall effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines, company policies, and procedures.

- 10 years of multi‑site retail facility management including all related trades.
- 5 years of experience with EMS systems and/or waste management.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably related) or significant industry certifications.
- Affiliations with facilities industry trade organizations.
- Supervisory experience of direct and secondary levels of management.
- Experience with CMMS programs, particularly Service Channel.
- Ability to read and analyze architectural blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
