Purpose

The Senior Warehouse Group Lead is the person responsible for ensuring that all activities pertaining to material movement are handled in a timely manner while maintaining the highest levels of compliance and quality. This position will be required to resolve any issues that arise pertaining to material movement in the warehouse and requires a high level of independence, with major decisions made in conjunction with leadership.

Decisions and actions have a direct impact on the operation’s efficiency, effectiveness (cost, time, and quality) and compliance. This position requires the ability to understand the customer’s needs and appropriately prioritize the overall workload.

Responsibilities

  • Lead through example, demonstrating exemplary attendance, leads meetings, tracks, and reports on KPI’s, maintains a positive attitude toward assignments.
  • Provide related feedback to leadership as needed but do not have direct supervisor/manager duties such as performance evaluation or disciplinary responsibilities.
  • Participate in responses to departmental, corporate, and governmental audits.
  • Aid in the control of all critical non‑inventory items (i.e. Greenbox;
    Controlled Room Temperature shippers (CRT) etc.).
  • Ensure associates are trained according to SOP’s. Perform observations as needed and complete all required training documentation for purpose of cross‑training current employees, contractors, new hires, etc.
    • Arrange system access/permissions (i.e. SAP, Small Parcel Shipping System).
  • As qualified on‑the‑job trainers provide OJT training/instruction to employees/contractors to perform specific job duties per the standard operating procedure. Evaluate and document the employee’s ability to perform the job duty per the SOP.
  • As an SME create new/revised standard operating procedures. Periodically review, update and approve departmental SOP’s.
  • Interface daily with key stakeholders to coordinate workflow with other departments/areas of the business to ensure business needs are met.
  • Must possess in depth knowledge of area functions. Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and be a change agent.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of related experience preferably within a pharmaceutical operations setting and 2+ years as a lead.
  • Accurately complete basic math calculations. Ability to read and understand training documents, product labeling and warehouse signage written in English.
  • Pass medical screening and/or background checks conducted by local, state, and federal authorities.
  • Self‑motivated with ability to work in a fast‑paced positive team‑oriented environment, with moderate supervision an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast changing work demands.
  • 5+ years working with ERP system, preferably SAP. Familiarity with Microsoft office products, general computer skills and RF scanners required. Ability to analyze, think creatively, decide, and effectively communicate verbally and written.
  • Very strong working knowledge applying FDA compliance regulations for the receiving and shipping of materials.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs., and/or more with assistance. Able to bend, reach, stoop, climb, stand and walk for entire shift of 8 hours or more.
  • Ability to work in an atmosphere range of
    -20°C to 30°C (-4°F to 86°F) wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to complete assigned tasks.
  • Operate various types of material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, hand tools and other devices operated in a warehouse environment while maintaining the highest level of productivity and accuracy.
