The City of Dublin is accepting applications for a Deputy City Marshal to assist with billing, collecting and record keeping of City taxes, licenses, and other fees. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with a strong commitment to accuracy, the initiative to work independently with minimal supervision, and a dedication to ongoing learning and professional development. Applicant Performs responsible cash handling and general clerical work in the billing, collecting, and record keeping of City taxes, alcohol licenses, hotel-motel taxes, and occupation taxes.

Work involves collecting and processing taxes and licensing fees; balancing collections against receipts; mailing tax and assessment notices and other clerical work related to the collection of city taxes and fees. Work requires accuracy in collecting and courtesy in dealing with the public. Work is checked by daily balancing of collections and receipts, and is reviewed and evaluated through observation conferences, and inspection of computer records.

Work is performed in accordance with well-established procedures and practices under the general supervision of the City Marshal.

The successful applicant must pass a drug screen, possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field. , and possess a valid State of Georgia class C driver’s license.
