• Work closely with primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients
• Assist with a wide range of tasks, including scheduling appointments, taking vital signs, and preparing patients for exams
• Provide immunizations, take vitals, room patients, and perform clinical/clerical duties
• Prepare patients for physician visits, perform tests, and file appropriate documents
• Receive and direct phone calls, obtain patient information, and ensure all forms and consents are completed
• Assist physicians with medical treatments, procedures, and exams; perform routine specimen collection and tests
• Deliver quality customer service and maintain established quality control standards
• Check out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services
• Set up EKG machines and other ancillary tests, administer injections and medications
• Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
• Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies
• Manage messages, prior authorizations, and patient calls

• High school diploma or GED required
• Current Medical Assistant Certification is required (credentialing body exam: AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or RMA)
• Medical Assistant Level-1 applicants with >5 years of experience may be considered without certification, though career ladder opportunities will be limited
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and external parties in a courteous and friendly manner
• Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care and examination procedures, and medical practices
• Firm grasp of administrative processes, organizational policies, and documentation requirements
• Must maintain confidentiality at all times and exhibit compassion and professionalism
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work quickly and efficiently to assure patient comfort and satisfaction
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word)
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and report to work on schedule

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 50 pounds of force
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Proficiency with fine motor skills to operate office equipment and machinery
• Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing
• Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving
• Ability to travel to multiple locations to support business needs as required
