This position is responsible for operating manual milling machines and surface grinders, as well as operating Heat Treat and Nitriding furnaces to facilitate die manufacturing and repair. The Machinist Die Maker II ensures that all work is completed safely, to high-quality standards, and in accordance with standard written procedures.

Operates manual milling machines and surface grinders, utilizing tools such as mics and calipers.

Ability to read and interpret blue prints.

Operates Heat Treat(High Heat, Tempering) and Nitriding furnaces, following standard written procedures.

Performs deburring and buffing of dies, backers, bolsters, and spreaders.

Performs repair work as directed by work order for Die correction and other departments.

Keep assigned work areas clean at all times.

Operates NC machines.

Performs other related work as required by leadership.

Follow all safety and environmental protocols.

None typically required for this position unless otherwise directed by management.

High School Graduate or GED

Machine Tool Technology Desired

Some Machine Shop with CNC, EDM Desired
