Manager in Training
Operational role assisting the Store Manager with overall store operations, customer service, merchandising, inventory, and administrative duties. The Manager in Training serves as an ambassador for Hibbett I City Gear, ensuring a unique customer experience and supporting the store’s goals and initiatives.
Location: 01004, Dublin, GA |
Compensation: $9.00 - $11.70 per hour (Hourly)
- Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and financial responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
- Assume full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Provide knowledgeable guidance to employees and customers across all departments.
- Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
- Direct staff to meet departmental responsibilities and standards.
- Keep the Store Manager informed of inventory movements and customer trends.
- Maintain high-quality customer service and perform general administrative duties.
- Deliver exceptional service by welcoming customers and assisting multiple shoppers during peak periods.
- Promote and sell Hibbett I City Gear services and merchandise.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, visual and customer‑service manuals.
- Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring accurate internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks.
- Supervise employees in the Store Manager’s absence, following company policies and applicable laws.
- Conduct interviews, training, planning, and problem resolution.
- Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear or athletic apparel.
- 1–3 years of customer service experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Capability to assist in team management and meet overall goals and profits.
- Self‑starter with initiative to take on tasks without being asked.
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
- Team‑player dedicated to outstanding customer service and merchandise sales.
