Accounting Supervisor

Ideal candidate will be local to Columbus, Ohio with the ability to work a hybrid schedule and come into the Dublin, OH office.

What Accounting contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.

Accounting establishes and maintains accounting policies and controls, completes technical research, safeguards the organization's assets and ensures accuracy of accounting and financial records in accordance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• This role is part of the Medical Accounting team and supports the centralization and oversight of accounting work done outside of accounting
• Annually reviewing reconciliations prepared outside of accounting to ensure compliance with accounting policies and to mitigate the risk of errors held on the balance sheet
• Analyzing business processes for which the accounting is currently done outside of the CAO organization to evaluate and conclude if a shift to accounting is appropriate
• Developing and executing transition of accounting for processes brought into the Accounting organization and stabilizing post-transition while assuming process ownership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferred
