Monday
- Friday, 8-hour shifts between the hours of 7am- 5pm. No on-call, No holidays, No weekends. Must have dependable transportation.
Assists the Orthopedic Physicians in the examination, treatment, and follow-up care of patients with orthopedic conditions.
Job Description Essential Functions- Prepares patients for orthopedic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort during the procedure.
- Applies and removes casts, splints, and braces as directed by the physician.
- Assists physicians in the reduction of fractures and dislocations.
- Orders and maintains inventory of orthopedic supplies and equipment.
- Cleans and sterilizes equipment and instruments to ensure patient safety.
- Maintains accurate patient records and ensures that they are up-to-date.
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Licensure Requirement(not specified)
CertificationsCertification from a Medical Assisting Program, STNA, or equivalent, preferred.
SkillsExcellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Experience- One year previous healthcare experience, preferred.
- Experience as Orthopedic Cast Tech, Suture Tech, or EMT, preferred.
OCCASIONALLY:
Bend/twist, Biohazard waste, Blood and/or Bodily Fluids, Chemicals/Medications, Communicable Diseases and/or Pathogens, Decision Making, Driving motor vehicles (work required)
