Position Overview
Nova Care Rehabilitation is looking for a Centralized Scheduler to join our team in Dublin, Ohio. The role is full-time, Monday‑Friday 9am‑6pm with 90‑day onsite training in Dublin after which the position is remote.
Compensation & BenefitsHourly pay: $17–18.50 based on experience. Benefits include diverse health plans, paid holidays, PTO & EID Leave, and a 401(k) with company match.
Responsibilities- Work as a team to ensure office operations and timely call handling for potential patients and referral sources.
- Accurately schedule procedures and maintain scheduling records.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding visit details, expectations, facility directions, and web address for new patient paperwork.
- Request and record accurate clinical history as necessary for the exam and provide instructions/preparations to individuals booking procedures.
- Review and evaluate scheduled appointments for completeness.
- Assist with pre‑registration by obtaining demographic and insurance information.
- Receive physician orders and schedule procedures via phone and electronic media.
- Obtain provisional diagnosis, physician orders, and patient history to substantiate requested treatment.
- Communicate scheduling concerns to the Center Manager or market leader.
- Coordinate scheduled appointments with team members and ensure supporting documentation is scanned.
- Make calls to patients for pre‑hab scheduling for pre‑surgical appointments.
- Collaborate with marketing for additional referral opportunities and report barriers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least two years of experience in healthcare customer service.
- Industry‑specific customer service certification.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 2 years in a similar role.
- Experience in customer service, call center, or scheduling.
- Passion for working on the business side of healthcare.
- Commitment to helping others achieve better quality of life.
