License: Any active state RN or compact license accepted

Certifications: ARDMS, RDCS, RVT

Must-Have: Strong GE experience

Description:

This position independently performs requested ultrasound examinations.

The sonographer searches for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms or medical history.

He or she reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist.

A diagnosis is then made based on the findings.

The role involves weekends and holiday coverage on a rotating basis.

The hospital setting includes a daily census of approximately 10 patients.

This position requires interaction with a variety of patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Experience with EPIC EMR is preferred.

Candidates should have training from an accredited ultrasound program.

The role involves performing various ultrasound procedures including abdominal and vascular studies.

BLS certification is required.
