Peoplesoft Admin Location – Dublin, CA (Day 1 Onsite)

Job Description:

•     Should have 6 to 8years of experience in People Soft Administration.  Excellent knowledge of People Tools, including implementations, upgrades, installation, configuration, integration & LDAP.  •     Responsible for managing and planning the overall maintenance and upgrade schedules of PS applications and ensure that all required patches, fixes and upgrades are fully researched and tested before being applied to the production environment, and perform impact analysis across multiple applications where necessary.•     Should

be having complete understanding of People Soft Internet Architecture/ People Soft 9.2/ People Tools 8.5x/PUM.•     Excellent troubleshooting skills and knowledge of People Soft data management tools and he should have done 4 full life cycles of People Soft Implementations with all the upgrades and patches.•     Need to ensure all development, test, and production environments are correctly configured and available•     The People Soft Systems Administrator’s primary responsibility is to install and configuring People Soft Application Servers, Process Schedulers, Web Servers (Load Balancing) and troubleshooting issues related to various People Soft components.•     The

People Soft Systems Administrator executes the migration of People Soft and other system objects per the Configuration Management Plan with the tools provided.•     The People Soft Systems Administrator upgrades the People Tools and other support software as necessary. Additionally, with the support of other system administration staff, the People Soft Administrator is responsible for schedule and maintaining and build new People Soft environments, and maintaining/testing remote backup sites.•     Require

strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with technical users and group to coordinate and support the application environment.•     Responsibilities include the design, development and testing of changes to the People Soft environment. The ideal candidate has the skills to make pragmatic and practical decisions without compromising the integrity of the People Soft application.•     Setup, configure, and maintain all People Soft application environments and accompanying Oracle databases in accordance with industry best practices.•     Create

Script and automate routine maintenance tasks as appropriate.•     Collaborate with network and server team on implementing necessary network, server, and operating system updates.•     Proactively monitor and manage People Soft and Oracle system security, health, performance, and trends in capacity utilization.•     Isolate technical problems within the People Soft system architecture and independently identify and test possible solutions.
